Front desk service excellent ...

Front desk service excellent and rooms are nice. In the end I kind of feel unsatisfied though with my experience. Front doors are locked at 9pm which prevented me from experiencing the night life around the area. Was looking forward to trying the breakfast and was told breakfast ends at 10am. I checked out at 9am, go downstairs to just the coffee machine and coffee still there, the whole counter looked as if everything was taken away already. Understandable to start putting stuff away early but almost an hour early? I just feel like i couldnt experience what I traveled to Philadelphia and booked this hotel for.

My daughter and I ...

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel for four nights. The room (401) is on the small side. It is a tight squeeze between the bed and the window, although it has a nice view of the museum across the street. The room is right next to the elevator but I hardly ever heard it. The bathroom is tiny!! The TV has a good variety of channels, but there is no “guide channel” to see what programs are on. The hotel provides a list of each channel and what network it is. The worst part was the shower. It has a low-flow “rainfall” shower head and low water pressure. I get that you’re trying to conserve water but it does no good when guests have to spend a lot more time in the shower in order to rinse the soap off!! My daughter has long hair and she gave up and did not wash her hair for a few days because of the shower. The staff members were mostly friendly. The lady who works on weekends went out of her way to greet all guests every time she saw them. She said “welcome back” to us when we came in late on Saturday night. However, the gentleman who checked us out on Tuesday morning just said “you’re all set” and did not inquire how our stay was or wish us a safe trip home. One other thing to mention is that it seems housekeeping does not clean the room’s bathroom. It did not appear to be cleaned during our entire stay (hair on the floor, soap residue on the shower door). I only saw two housekeepers so maybe they do not have time to clean bathrooms. I think the hotel should let guests know that their bathrooms will not be cleaned. Overall, not a bad stay but I feel that I overpaid for what I got. I paid over $300 a night (booked directly through the hotel website). I don’t know if I would stay there again- maybe, but only if I got a lower rate.
